Desktop app
The macOS app. Register your Mac as a device and tasks can run on it directly.
The desktop app is the same ClawsGO with one addition: it can register your Mac as a device. Tasks can then run on your machine, reading and writing local files and running local commands. It is currently macOS only.
Install
Download
Visit the download page and choose the build for your chip: Apple silicon or Intel. Open the dmg and drag ClawsGO into Applications.
Sign in
The app never shows a sign-in form. Click "Sign in with your browser", sign in to the global edition there, and the app picks it up. If it does not switch back on its own, paste the sign-in code shown in the browser into the app. Codes are valid for 3 minutes.
Register the device
After you sign in, the app registers this Mac as a device on its own: the device is named after your computer and the workspace folder is ~/ClawsGO (project files for your tasks live there). A "This computer is connected" notice appears in the corner when it is done. The device credential is stored in ~/.clawsgo on this computer, readable by your user only.
If automatic registration fails you will see a notice; open Host Management in your personal space and click "Connect this computer" to register by hand. To use a different workspace folder, click "Disconnect this computer" first, then register manually and pick the folder.
Once registered, the app runs a background service. Its state shows on the device's "Local connection" row in Host Management, with a "Restart" button when it is not running.
Running tasks on your Mac
In the desktop app, new tasks run on this computer by default, and new projects are created on it too. To switch to the cloud host, use the host selector above the composer; your choice is remembered. How device tasks differ from cloud tasks:

Change the permission level in the composer settings. "Approval" always asks before sensitive actions; permission cards are auto-denied after 10 minutes.
Using this computer in a shared team
A device belongs to your personal space. To dispatch tasks to it from a shared team, open that team's Host Management and click "Add my computer".
Disconnecting and switching computers
- Disconnect this computer: on the device in Host Management. The credential is revoked and the device is removed from all teams along with its projects and tasks. This cannot be undone.
- New computer: install and sign in there and it registers itself. Disconnect the old device whenever you like. A computer you have disconnected is not registered again automatically; connect it by hand when needed.
- "The saved device configuration is no longer valid": the device was removed or its credential revoked elsewhere. "Clear local configuration" lets you register again.
- "This computer is connected elsewhere, this process has exited": the same device credential was started somewhere else. Check whether the app is installed twice.
Automatic updates
The app checks for updates on launch and every 4 hours after that, downloading in the background. When a download finishes the app shows a prompt; click "Restart to update" to install right away, or leave it and the update installs the next time you quit the app. The background service updates with it.
If you see "Desktop app is out of date, update and restart", quit and reopen the app to finish updating.
When the server requires a newer minimum version (a protocol change or an important fix), the app shows an "Update required" dialog that cannot be dismissed. Click "Restart to update" once the download finishes to continue, or download and install manually from the link above.
